We don't have any set rules for submissions, but we have a good idea of what we would like to present, and some ideas about what we don't. While there are many sites for equipment, some of them very good, this site is not intended to be one of them.
Instead, we are looking for images and content about their making that we all can share and learn from. The act of seeing is what is important to all of us that do landscape photography and we all do this differently. Our goal is to show that process.
We would like to explore the thoughts, strategies, and techniques that encompass a landscape image. If it is part of the process, then we would like to share it! The subject matter, place, and content is up to you. As long as we all can think about, learn from, and enjoy your work, we will be glad to present it. We are looking for the personality of the photographer along with the technique and resulting image.
We have always enjoyed receiving your e-mail questions and comments and will continue to answer them personally. If your question or comments add to the process described above, we will add them to the submissions along with our comments.
We make no value judgment as to quality on any set basis. We see as much to be gained by looking at a first year photographers work as in a veterans. It's the passion we seek, with an eye towards the perfection! Our most asked question is "what do you see and how do you see it?" here is the place for YOUR answer!
Still not sure how to f-8 and be there? Here are the simple steps:
Send us your best image and explain how it was done, and most importantly -- why! Insight into landscape photography and it's many personalities are what we are after!
