Our workshops are a “door to door” experience!

  • We pick you up at the airport.
  • Transport you to each location at the best time to shoot.
  • Provide as much expertise, instruction and guidance as you’d like.
  • Take care of lodging reservations, meal arrangements (cost not included) and all the other details.
  • And drop you off at the airport when we’re done!

We literally take care of everything… so all you have to think about is making great images! It’s one of the reasons our workshop participants come back again and again – several have joined us for over 15 workshops!

So, if you’re interested in seeing and photographing some of the country’s greatest landscapes with other like-minded people – and want to learn the art and strategy of landscape photography – come join us! You won’t be disappointed.

We offer photography workshops in great places like Yosemite, Yosemite High Sierra camps, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Glacier, Great Smoky Mountains, Canyonlands, Arches, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Rocky Mountains, Capitol Reef, Great Basin, Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, Saguaro,   Sequoia, Joshua Tree, Lake Powell, Slot Canyons, The Wave, Mono Lake and many more, on a  rotating basis.

There is very little down time!

Rather than sit you down in a conference room and give you sales pitches from our sponsors, we believe your time is better spent outdoors, seeing and experiencing the locations we visit. We’ll take you to the places at the right times for optimal photography and show you as much of an area as possible in the time we have together. From well before sunrise to long after sunset is our average day in the field!

You do landscape photography – and we take care of everything else!

We take care of you from the moment you arrive at the airport until you fly home. Your hotel accommodations are included in the workshop fee and we provide all the transportation. Just bring your gear and enjoy the locations and your photography, with no worries about any of the details.

Why do we provide all the transportation?

  • We often go places that require experience and the right vehicle, places that can otherwise be difficult and dangerous to travel to. We also don’t want you to ever stress about catching up or hurrying though your shoot just because others have left the area you are enjoying. And we don’t want you getting lost.
  • We get to know each other – and the camaraderie we build is conducive to better photography. The learning experience is shared during travel. This adds to the discipline and dedication and enjoyment. Being able to share thoughts and strategy with leaders and participants adds much to the learning process.
  • One of the joys of these workshops is the friendships that are made. Most attendees come for the photographs – and go home with new friends!

Our workshops are small and personalized.

We want to know your photography needs and provide the inspiration or help that you came for. Our workshops are all about YOUR photography.

We have years of photography experience in all these locations and will get you to the best places at the right times.

Our goal is to put you in as many optimal photographic situations as possible. Some attendees have come back with over two thousand frames! We plan our days to take maximum advantage of the area we’re in. We don’t change base locations, no there’s never any need to pack everything up and move to a new hotel.

We can also organize and lead private photography tours to the location of your choice, on your schedule.
